1、稱取大約相同的量，用水溶解后，再用堿滴定，消耗堿多的是酐，消耗堿少的是酸。

2、或取少量相同量的樣品溶解于水，用pH計檢測，pH值低的是酐，pH稍高的是酸。

3、用熔點檢測也可以，酐與酸的熔點不同。順酐約52~53℃，順酸約130℃。
